Not Yet a Final Year Student

Last week, I had a time of my life. I knew my presentation was on the first session of 20th May but who said that I can't had some fun, right? Anyway, this morning I was the fourth presenter for my session. In my session, they were Rawiey, Amy, Dayah, Thirah and Timah. The examiners for this session was Dr Shafry and En Nik.

My main examiner was En Nik.

Evaluation form.

When Rawiey was called upon to present her project,
I had butterflies in my tummy.
You know that feeling.
The feeling where a night before you felt nothing but on before the presentation, all the feelings attacked you in one time.
Goshh!

I was the fourth person to be called by En Nik.
I calmed down and started my presentation with Bismillah.

My presentation consists of 16 slides and I presented until the fifth slides. Before I proceed to my sixth slides, En Nik started asking me a few questions. I tried to answer the questions. However, most of the questions that had been asked were answered by him, too. I never got a chance to answer his questions. In the end, I just flashed my big smile and prayed that my results will be OKAY.

Before the presentation.

I finished my presentation in less than 10 minutes. Yay for me!

Z : The conductor mistakenly gave us the evaluation form. Thus, I knew the result for my presentation already. :D

It's Showtime!

Last week had been a very hectic week for me. For a student who were doing her last minute job in compiling her thesis was on her edge. To be exact, I was THAT girl. For 3 weeks starting from the end of April, I'd been immortalized myself for my Final Year Project (FYP) thesis.

For my department, which is GMM, we knew about the submission and presentation date later than the other department. We were supposed to do our report progression a long time ago but we decided to do it last minute.

On 14th, En Jumail, our coordinator, just posted in the e-learning that we need to submit our thesis on the next day, which was on the 15th May before 5:45 PM. All of the SCVians went berserk.
We all knew that our project haven't done yet.

And I skipped my DV class that evening just to finish my report. I didn't sleep at night. I drank too much redbull just to stay awake. And on the 15th, I didn't manage to finish my report. Actually, I finished my Chapter 5 at 5:45PM. It was too late. I was stressed and decided to submit my thesis on the next day. Then, I remembered that I had a show that night. So, I rest my case and went to do some sound checked.

It was Career Carnival BBQ Night. Inseneur was invited to perform during the show. Rawi, Aten and I were the vocalists and each one of us sang a song. Rawi sang My Heart will Go On, Aten with her Can't Take My Eyes  and I sang Sway. Goshh. It was really hard for me to sang that song because I really can't hit the high note. Anyway, it's all end well. :D

L-R : Al, Syah, Fakh, Baz, Zal, Rawi, Aten and I

After the show, I continued my thesis. Did a few touch up here and there. Then, the most annoying parts were references and paging. It took me 3 hours to finish the paging. At 2.59 AM, I compiled everything. Pheww... That moment, I knew that I can sleep in peace.

On Friday, I did nothing. I had so many school works to be done but I was not in the mood.  I followed Rawi to do her sound checked at DSI. SaturdayNSunday was performing that night though. I was there giving my support. It was Tun Dr Ismail Residential College Annual Dinner and known as MERAK. At first, I didn't want to go there. But, one of the fellow invited me and I got to eat free food. WHO doesn't like free food, right?

On the very next day, I became an emcee with my BFF, Sukri. We had plan that at least once before we graduate, we became partner in emcee. And we did. It was for MATR and it was awesome. Suk with his experiences in emcee. I learnt alot from him.

We took the formal part of the event. After we done with our part, Suk went home and I stayed. I did the closing performance with SaturdayNSunday for the first time. :D

Z : A stressful week yet, it was awesome!

My First Performance

Whoaa.

It's been a while since I write a post in here. Anyway, this is just a quickie about a dinner that I joined last month.

*
On 7th March, one person has approached and asked me whether I wanted to perform or not on 31st of March aka Hornbill Night. I was quite doubtful during that time whether to accept or not. He tried to coax me for about a week. He said that the band wanted to perform one of the Zee Avi's song. I think and think and think. (Well, I was one of the crew for that dinner, remember.)

After I did some thinking, I agreed and on 14th, I started my jamming session with them. Without Rawiey's knowledge, I sneaked out every Friday and Saturday to jam with them. It's my first time to perform with a band and I'm not used to it. Often I went to karaoke center just to sing my lungs out. :D

Lemme introduce to you to the person who succeeded in persuading me to join the band. His name is Syah. He said that my appearance during the performance will be a surprise to all. Indeed. Well, of course I told my boyfie that I was performing with a band. Heeeee..

At first, we were practicing Kantoi and they were too focusing on the KTHO dinner performance. They said I hit the key correctly. I assumed that's a good start for me, as a newbies. A week after that, we practice Kantoi and Mi Kolok Sigek. Nevertheless, it was quite hard for Fakh to arrange both songs.

A week before the event started, there were a change in songs and music arrangement. They wanted to combine Mi Kolok Sigek and A Thousand Years.

Homaii..
A Thousand Years!
They knew I can't hit the high note.
But I tried my best.
And I did it (maybe) .

The performance went smoothly even though there were one part I got in wrongly. After the event, we performed another round of Kantoi.
Thanks to them for inviting me to sing a song from my favourite artist, Zee Avi.
A dream came true.

L-R : Aten, Ariff, me, Al, Pjol, Fakh and Syah

It was fun!
Oh yea. I almost forgot. The band was called Inseneur.

Z : I'd been long to sing Zee Avi's song though.
